Responsibilities Job Description The Rare Disease Therapeutic Area is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the Ocular Gene Therapy group. The candidate will lead efforts to build the ocular gene therapy platform within Sanofi, supporting existing ocular gene therapy programs as well as identifying new research initiatives. A major focus of research is the development of ocular gene therapeutics based on AAV vectors. The successful candidate will also be involved in transitioning successful vectors to clinical trials. Background and Qualifications Education: PhD in a Biological science with 5 years postdoctoral experience with emphasis on ophthalmology Education Experience: Applicants should have a strong background in molecular biology and extensive experience with animal models of ocular diseases. AAV vector/gene therapy is desirable but not essential. Candidate should have strong written and verbal skills with a relevant publication record. Experience in the following techniques is desirable.
