The Department of Pathology is seeking a PhD Research Investigator to join the faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The specific area of research that this position will facilitate will be to study pathobiology and mechanisms of intestinal inflammation and mucosal repair.  Specifically, the candidate will develop and participate in projects directed at elucidating how leukocytes and their biological products regulate wound healing and barrier function in the intestine under normal and inflammatory conditions.  The candidate will be expected to develop expertise in culture of and functional manipulation of human and murine enteroids and colonoids.  You will be encouraged to take advantage of a wide array of sophisticated in vivo, cell biological and molecular techniques.  Successful candidate will also be expected to publish and present results of this research.

 This position requires a PhD and 4+ years of postdoctoral fellowship experience in inflammation-related research as well as a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
