The Postdoctoral Fellow is a post-doctoral level trainee who receives supervision from a licensed psychologist as part of a final supervised experience prior to licensure. Postdoctoral Fellow(s) provide individualized plans for PRS, collaborate with and train unit staff in developing and implementing individualized plans, and provide individual and group therapy services. In addition, this provider serves as a consultant to psychiatry and nursing when planning care for individuals on a case-by-case, as needed basis. Postdoctoral Fellows also engage in relevant psychological testing as needed in the inpatient setting, making recommendations for care based on the findings of testing and referral questions under the supervision of a qualified licensed psychologist.
The Postdoctoral Fellow positions requires:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
Course work and practicum/internship training in areas relevant to services provided (e.g., CBT for Mood disorders, Substance Use disorders).
Successful completion of internship.
1-2 years of experience working in inpatient settings.
Experience providing case to adults experiencing Mood Disorders.
Experience providing case to adults experiencing Serious Mental Illness.
Willingness to work holidays and weekend shifts.
Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
Experience providing care to individuals experiencing Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Experience providing care to individuals experiencing Conduct Disorder.
Experience providing care to individuals experiencing Intellectual Disabilities.
Experience providing care to individuals experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Experience providing care to individuals experiencing Psychotic Disorders.
Cognitive-Behavioral or Behavioral Therapy orientation.
Familiarity with Recovery-oriented approaches to care.
The Postdoctoral Fellowship program will begin in August/September 2017 and last for 1 year.
