The Department of Oncology Research at MedImmune, LLC is seeking a highly motivated immuno-oncologist for a postdoctoral fellowship, developing and leading an independent research project using in vitro 3D models of cancer and immune cell interactions and in vivo mouse models to identify genetic drivers of the tumor microenvironment (TME). The successful applicant will utilize a background in cancer biology to perform genetic screens for genes important in TME remodeling. This position is a hands-on, laboratory based position, whereby the successful applicant is expected to present findings to field-related internal and external audiences. The position offers a unique opportunity for a talented scientist to work in a dynamic and innovative environment and to develop their career at the interface of basic research and drug discovery.
Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology or related field with 0-3 years of postdoctoral experience
Experience in cancer or cancer immunology research.
Strong cell biology experience in tissue culture techniques, isolation and culture of primary cells and the use of co-culture systems.
Experience executing and analyzing multicolor flow cytometry.
Experience with in vivo mouse cancer models.
The candidate will be expected to make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results independently.
The position will require preparation of precise technical summaries, protocols, quantitative analyses, and maintenance of appropriate documentation.
This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in isolation of rare cell populations.
Experience with large scale screening methods is preferred
Experience with in vitor 3D model systems is preferred
