The Postdoctoral Researcher is responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) to conduct cutting edge research using computational modeling tools, and to mentor undergraduate students in the completion of their respective research activities. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, conducting independent research and producing scholarly work in a mentored setting; participating in proposal development and seeking external funding with the goal of launching an independent academic career; promoting student participation in research in order to provide critical advising and mentoring.
Ability to design experiments, execute research plan, analyze data, formulate conclusions, communicate results and conclusions to the Principal Investigator
Assist PI in writing the journal papers, conference proceedings, as well as preparation of proposal and seeking external funding
Give posters/talks in group meeting, local, regional and national conferences
Performs other activities that needed for the CRI project as assigned.
Experience in Gaussian QM or VASP modeling tools.
PhD in Chemistry or Physics.
Familiar with hardware and cluster settings.
