The Department of History at Utah State University invites applications for a one-year (non-renewable) postdoctoral teaching fellow in World History for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The successful fellow may expect an annual salary of $40,000 plus benefits. In addition to help with moving expenses, fellows may apply for department travel funds for at least one professional conference presentation.
Review of applicants begins March 1, 2018 and continues until the position is filled.
The successful applicant should be able to teach two sections of pre-modern world history and two sections of modern world history in addition to one upper-division course in his or her area of specialization. Fellows will be expected to participate in the life of the department.
The History Department at Utah State includes dynamic teacher scholars in History, Religious Studies, and Classics as well as undergraduate and master's level students interested in a global field of study. The faculty values high-quality research in keeping with its research mission, but it also places the highest importance on accessible and quality teaching. The department offers majors/minors in history, history teaching, and religious studies.
