Dr. Maysam Mousaviraad seeks a highly motivated postdoc to join his research program at the University of Wyoming. The initial appointment is full-time for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding. The research will focus on developing FSI methods for heart flow simulations. Desirable experience includes: CFD, FSI for highly deformable applications, heart flow modeling, and scientific publication records. The post-doc in this position will have the opportunity to assist with writing NIH grant proposals, participate in scientific conferences and workshops, and collaborate with researchers from biology and animal science fields. This position is available immediately and the start date is relatively flexible. Qualifications: • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related fields is required • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential • Experience in development and application of CFD solvers is required • Experience in FSI modeling and simulation is required • Experience with cardiovascular flow modeling is desirable • Experience using high-performance computing systems is desirable • Expertise in programming and parallel computing is desirable To Apply: All qualified applicants are required to submit CV, list of at least three references, and copies of selected publications, if appropriate.
