DESCRIPTION
UCSF FRESNO ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF THE LATINO PROGRAM AND DIRECTOR OF THE UCSF FRESNO LIBRARY - UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO FRESNO MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
The University of California San Francisco Fresno campus is recruiting an Associate Director of the Latino Program and Director of the UCSF Fresno Library. The successful candidate must have familiarity with the demographics of the Central Valley in California, have excellent communication skills, have experience in successful grant writing, have experience in outcomes assessment, and an expressed interest in working with minority populations. Previous leadership experience is preferable but not required. The successful candidate must hold a Doctoral degree (PhD or D Ed) and qualify for a UCSF faculty appointment. The successful candidate will spend approximately 0.8 FTE of their time assuming an associate leadership position in the UCSF Fresno Latino Center, a highly successful pipeline program for students interested in careers in healthcare. The candidate will work within the program to assist secondary schools in curricular development, work with local Universities in Healthcare Opportunities, and provide analytical support for the programs. The remaining 0.2 FTE will be providing faculty oversight of the UCSF Fresno Medical Library currently staffed by two librarians. In that role they will work with UCSF library leadership in meeting the needs of physicians-in-training and in expanding community outreach.
Fresno offers a high standard of living combined with a low cost of living. The result is a quality of life uniquely Californian, yet surprisingly affordable. Limitless recreational opportunities and spectacular scenery are all accessible in a community with abundant affordable housing. While there is much to see and do in Fresno, the city is ideally located for fast, convenient getaways to the majestic Sierras, as well as the scenic Central Coast, and Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
