E-mail:\u00a0 Position Description: An NIH-funded Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available to participate in studies related to renal microvascular function, renal hemodynamics and inflammation in different settings of renal and cardiovascular diseases. Current projects in the lab include the role of sphingosine-1-phosphate in regulating renal microvascular function and in contributing to renal microvascular dysfunction using animal kidney injury models. The laboratory uses a state-of-the-art video-microscopy technique and whole animal studies to directly assess renal microvascular function in animal models.\u00a0 The successful candidate should have a proven track record with publications. Strong motivation, good communication skill and the ability to work independently is required. Prior experience in animal handling, mouse genetics, surgical techniques, and skills in cellular and molecular biology is highly desirable, but not necessary. The applicant will be trained to use\u00a0in vivo\u00a0and\u00a0in vitro\u00a0surgical skills and integrative approaches to address questions related to this area of research.
