The Division of Agriculture is a state wide campus, with faculty based on University campuses, at Research and Extension Centers and in every Arkansas County. It consists of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station (AAES) and the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service (CES), and is home to more than 1400 employees. The Division was established in 1959 and is headed by the Vice-President for Agriculture. The Poultry Science Department/Center of Excellence for Poultry Science is housed in an 112,000-square-foot office, laboratory and classroom complex located on the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, campus. Additional poultry science facilities are located within close proximity to the campus and include a poultry research farm, a pilot processing plant, a feed mill, a poultry health and isolation unit, and commercial style research farms for broilers and broiler breeders.

**Summary of Job Duties**
The Post-Doctoral Associate will plan, conduct and publish basic and applied research to develop strategies to improve the food safety of poultry and poultry products. The successful candidate must be able to design experiments, perform data analysis and contribute and author peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and grant proposals.

Ph.D. degree in Microbiology or related field, research experience with molecular techniques and strategies to reduce foodborne pathogens in poultry.
