The postdoc is offered by Neuroscience Integrated Solutions and Informatics team within Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C. and will be located in Hopewell, NJ in the United States. Neuroscience Integrated Solutions and Informatics team seeks a motivated scientist with expertise in creatively applying quantitative analysis to large-scale longitudinal, population and family based studies, as well as real-world evidence data.
The postdoc will develop science-based, data-driven, technology-enabled solutions to advance our understanding of disease course and treatment outcomes toward the goal of precision medicine for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. He/she will develop advanced algorithms and/or apply quantitative Big Data analytics to analyze and integrate multiple data modalities including clinical phenotype, streaming data from wearable sensors for sleep/activity monitoring and mobile devices for speech/voice/social interaction monitoring, environmental and biological factors (such as biomarkers including genetics, epigenetic, protein, mRNA and small RNA profiling, metabolite, where applicable) to identify subgroups with different disease trajectories/outcomes and build predictive algorithms to predict these. An emphasis will be placed on algorithms that can exploit data from multiple modalities including clinical, molecular data, as well as wearable sensor and smartphone data. The postdoc will work in a results-oriented environment with the goal of understanding the mechanism of action and/or identifying and validating predictive models. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with prominent academic labs and recognized disease area experts, to present results at major conferences, and publish work.
