Profile
Dr. Chao Zhang’s lab at Boston University School of Medicine is seeking a computational biology postdoctoral associate who is interested in studying immuno-oncology or aging. The postdoctoral scholar is expected to lead the development of novel bioinformatic algorithms and integrate multiple types of high throughput biological omics data from the lab and collaborators. Responsibilities
Develop principled methods, based on machine learning and advanced statistical modeling techniques to address biological questions.
Analyze massive functional genomics data at single cell and population levels.
Prepare manuscripts and scientific reports.

Required Skills
Qualifications
PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or other related quantitative areas.
Experience with teamwork and group communication.
Experience with self-guided learning in a quickly evolving technical environment.
Experience with scientific software development under Linux and Mac OS environments.
Familiarity with at least one of common programming languages: R, Python, or Java.
Additional preferred but not required
A background in machine learning or substantial experience analyzing large genomic datasets
Full stack web site technology
Publications in peer-reviewed journals
Experience with single cell data analysis or microbiome research
