A Post-doctoral position is available immediately at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in the laboratory of Dr. Scott Magness PhD. The research project is focused on investigating the cell of origin and important driver genes for Instestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors (iNETs) and Gastric Cancer. Candidates must have exceptional motivation, time management, grant and manuscript writing abilities. Candidates will perform laboratory and research using stem cell isolation and culture, FACS of primary tissues, GI neuroendocrine physiology, Fludigm C1 single cell analysis techniques, qPCR genetic analysis, western blots, mouse colony management and genotyping. They will work closely with human tissue procurement staff to obtain live tumor samples. The position will also provide the candidate with a rich and creative environment for career development opportunities.
This position requires extensive knowledge using lab techniques such as FACS of primary tissues, immunostaining, confocal microscopy, RNAseq, qPCR genetic analysis, western blots, mouse colony management and genotyping. RNAseq data analysis skills are attractive. Candidates must have exceptional motivation, time management, grant and manuscript writing abilities.PhD in biological science or related field, preferably genetics, molecular biology, and/or cell biology, cancer biology.
