The History Department at Carleton College invites applications for a two-year non-tenure track postdoctoral fellowship in African-American history beginning September 1, 2018. This appointment includes half-time teaching and half-time research; the fellow is expected to teach five courses over two years in Carleton’s ten-week trimester system. Teaching obligations may include a survey of African-American history as well as more specialized courses. Applicants whose research focus is pre-World War II are especially welcome.
